Christmas Activities at Bob’s Trees
Meet Santa Claus
Bring your list and check it twice before talking to Santa. He will be here November 26th & 27th and December 3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th handing out Tootsie Pops and talking to children. Santa loves to have his picture taken and will be more than happy to pose with you and your loved ones, so be sure to bring your camera.
Location: Santa moves around a lot. You can find him just about anywhere!
See Santa’s Reindeer
Two of Santa’s reindeer visit Bob’s Trees during November & December. They usually arrive Around the 17th of November and leave around December 16th to rest up for their run on Christmas Eve. (Even reindeer have to take some time off to get ready for the big trip.) If you are lucky, you may get to pet one while a handler is walking him around the yard. Please, don’t bring tidbits to feed the reindeer. They have very delicate stomachs and can become extremely ill if fed the wrong thing! So, let’s not upset Santa.
Location: Behind the grey house or walking in the yard.
Take A Horse Drawn Wagon Ride
Bundle up and enjoy a good old fashioned wagon ride through the fields. Horse drawn wagon rides (weather permitting) are available from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekends of November 26th & 27th and December 3rd, 4th, 10th & 11th. If weather conditions are dangerous for the horses, rides will be cancelled.
Location: Behind the ski lodge/snack bar.
Children’s Activities
This year our children’s activity will be a mitten hunt from November 25th through December 11th. Various mittens with names will be displayed throughout the property. Children have to find all the mittens and write the names down on the entry form. Each entry must contain the names on all of the mittens. The entry will then be entered into a drawing for that week. The winner of the drawing will receive $25.00. There will be 3 weekly drawings of 2 winners each weekend. (Children must be 16 or under to participate.)
Location: You need to go to the main office to get an entry form and also to deposit your entry when done.
Children can also write a letter to Santa and hang it on the letter board or drop it in the mailbox. We will be sure that Santa receives them in time! They can also do some puzzles, mazes or word games while waiting for their lunch or snack.
Location: Inside the ski lodge/snack bar.
Win Prizes
Be sure to register for 1 of our 3 weekly drawings for a chance to win a season cross country ski pass and/or a $50.00 gift certificate for nursery stock.
